libmarkdown2-dev software package provides implementation of the Markdown markup language in C (dev files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmarkdown2-dev
libmarkdown2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmarkdown2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmarkdown2-dev *
You will get with libmarkdown2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
